How to Mail in Your Quilt
Did you know that Quincy's Quilt Finishing Services receives quilts from all across Canada for our longarming services. It's easy to ship us your quilts for finishing. Here are the steps:
1. Pack up your finished quilt top. Place a safety pin at the top edge of the quilt approximately near the middle top edge.
2. Pack up your quilt backing, ensuring that your backing is a MINIMUM of four (4) inches larger on all four (4) sides. Four (4) inches is the minimum but it may be larger than the minimum 4 inches. If you are attaching leaders to your quilt backing, to increase the width, you must place a leader on both side edges. If you are attaching leaders to your quilt backing to increase the length, you must place a leader on both the top and the bottom edges. If you are using a non-traditional backing, there will be a surcharge of $30.00. See our FAQ's to learn more about quilt backings.
If you do not have a backing for your quilt send the top in and we will help you find the perfect backing for your quilt from our wide selection of cotton backings or Cuddletex fleece.
3. Print out and complete the customer information sheet for your quilt. Please send a separate sheet for each quilt.
4. Box up your quilts and take to the carrier of your choosing to mail them to us. We recommend Canada Post. You can purchase a prepaid mailing box from Canada Post. The boxes come in small, medium and large sizes and the cost is a flat rate, depending on the size box you choose. The boxes are insured and tracked.
5. Ship your quilts to the following location:

6. Once we receive your quilts, we will call you to complete your intake over the telephone. Once the quilts have been finished with the services you choose, we will call you to arrange for payment. Once paid, we will ship your quilts to you via Canada Post, insured and tracked.
